Our goal for the Other People Records new website redesign was to have an informed and artistic layout that would appeal to users looking for specific information about their favourite artists, or users who are looking to find new artists to listen to. By keeping a traditional responsive website layout with a combination of full-width and in-grid pages, the website has a visual balance of information, album artwork, artist pictures, and even vinyl variants for each record.
A key feature we implemented is highlighting mouse hover events on the album art which reveals the main coloured vinyl variant out of the sleeve of the record. Using direct Spotify and Apple Music links on each discography and artist page allows for quick listening access to users. Using the official Other People Records main Instagram feed as the home banner and news section allows updates to be easily and automatically populated to the website via Instagram.
